Hi, I'm Aaron ChAaron Chooo

Multidisciplinary designer and developer working across digital, spatial and visual design

Aaron Choo

My approach to design was shaped by an early interest in mathematics and the sciences, which led me to study Architecture at the National University of Singapore. Five years in architectural practice taught me to approach complex problems systematically, work within constraints, and collaborate closely with different people to bring ideas into reality. I particularly enjoyed the problem-solving that happened on site, working with contractors to resolve challenges and find practical solutions.

After five years in architecture, I started VAST, my own design studio, to explore design beyond the built environment. I began my digital journey by modifying WordPress themes, which eventually grew into designing and developing websites and digital experiences from the ground up using technologies such as Nuxt and Next.js.

Today, I work with companies and organizations to strengthen their digital presence, streamline operations, and create more effective digital experiences. My practice also spans branding and visual identity, as well as residential and commercial interior design.

I’ve also volunteered my time within the design community through committee and leadership roles with the Singapore Institute of Architects and Young Architects League, contributing to initiatives that support and connect the architectural community.

Across these disciplines, I enjoy understanding how things work, identifying opportunities to improve them, and creating solutions that are thoughtful, practical, and purposeful.
